BenPar specializes in providing complete services related to wellpoint, deep well and sump dewatering.
We utilize 50mm tubes with slots near the bottom that are inserted into the ground from which water is drawn by vacuum generated with a dewatering pump. Our wellpoints are typically installed at close centres in a line along or around the edge of an excavation. For deep projects, wellpoints can be installed in stages with the first reducing the water level by up to five metres and a second stage installed at a lower level lowering it further.
Our deep well dewatering consists of a borehole fitted with a slotted liner and an electric submersible pump. As water is pumped from a deep well, a hydraulic gradient is formed and water flows into the well forming a cone of depression. We can also install deep wells in a ring around an excavation to lower the water level and maintain a safe, dry site.
We allow groundwater to seep into the excavation and it then collects in sumps and pumped away for disposal. Each sump is equipped with a robust pump with the capacity to handle some solids.
